Oats:
Combine following ingredients, mix and let soak overnight:
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup almond milk
1 T. maple syrup
2/3 T. chia seeds
1 T. almond butter
sprinkle of cinnamon
In the morning top with:
1-2 T. almond butter
1 T. cherry chia jam (see below recipe)
another sprinkle of cinnamon if you like
Cherry Chia Jam
Ingredients:
2 cups frozen or fresh cherries
2 T. honey or maple syrup
2 T. chia seeds
Instructions:
Add cherries and honey to saucepan and cook for 5 minutes.
Mash cheeries with wooden spoon.
Bring to a low boil, cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer 10 minutes
Turn off heat and stir in the chia seeds.
(I like to use food processor to blend really well but you don't have to.)
Jam will thicken as it cools. Taste and add more sweetener if needed.
Allow to cool and store for 1-2 weeks in fridge. Freeze if you want.
