Chocolate Malt Marbled Cheesecake

(from Redbook Magazine March 2004)
Variation of the Classic Cheesecake recipe

My ABSOLUTE favorite cheesecake recipe and it takes about 30 minutes from start to putting in the oven. Always a crowd pleaser!

For Crust:
In bowl, mix the following:
1 1/4 cup chocolate cookie crumbs (I use food processor to crush the cookies)
2 T. sugar and
3 1/2 T. melted butter

Press onto bottom of greased 9 inch springform pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool.

For Filling:
Beat the following for three minutes:
3 8 oz. packages softened cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 cup malted milk powder
3/4 cup sour cream
2 t. vanilla extract

Then beat in 3 eggs until smooth.

Once mixed, divide filling into two bowls. Stir 4 oz. melted semisweet chocolate into one of the bowls of batter. Pour half of vanilla batter into crust; cover with half of chocolate batter. Repeat with remaining vanilla and chocolate batter. Swirl with thin knife to marble.

Bake 55-60 minutes
Transfer to rack and cool for 5 minutes
Garnish with chocolate curls and whipped cream if you like

Yum!
